A healthy dessert that is
good for your gut! Made with yogurt, cinnamon, nuts and whole wheat flour a
healthy tea time cake. A light, fluffy, delicious and soft cake and that too
eggless! A perfect dessert for post dinner or as an evening tea-time. You can
also use this cake for making puddings or even cupcakes.
A handful of ingredients
such as whole wheat flour, baking powder, cinnamon powder, curd along with
jiggery (gur) and whole lot of nuts like walnuts and raisins, makes for a
fluffy, delectable cake to relish with a cup of tea.
Ingredients of Eggless Atta Cake
- Whole wheat flour- 2 Cups
- Sugar or jaggery - 1-2 cups
- Baking powder- 1/2 tbsp
- Soda bicarbonate (meetha soda) - 1/2 tbsp
- Cinnamon powder- 2 tbsp
- Refined oil- 3/4 cup
- Curd- 1 cup
NOTE - Water to be added
according to the consistency of the batter Handful of walnuts, raisins &
figs.
How to Make Eggless Atta Cake
- First things first, preheat the oven up to 200 degrees, at least 15 mins before you get started.
- Take a large bowl mix all the dry ingredients together in it.
- Now take a bowl whisk the curd and oil together. Then mix all the dry ingredients into this bowl and fold well. You can use an electric mixer for this purpose.
- Make sure you mix the ingredient well and any lumps are not formed while doing it. Bring it to dripping consistency, add water if required.
- Now take a palate and grease its bottom with oil.
- Now pour the batter in the palate carefully. Bake at 170 degrees C for 1 hour 15 minutes while checking at intervals.
- To check whether it is perfectly baked or not, insert a toothpick in the bread and it should come out clean.
Remove the tin from the
oven and place it for cooling for about 5 minutes before taking it out
Let it cool completely
garnish and decorate it as per your liking. Cut it into pieces and serve it.
